| Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students as well as working part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox decided to change her profession when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in comparison with the other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She left the band before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's talent program New Faces. The singer was the primary singer in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. As part of this group, she was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It was released in 1993. In both commercial terms and critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul songs.
